Lindsey and Kyle’s Orlando wedding at Cross Creek Ranch

Normally I write a little blurb about a recent couple we had the honor of doing wedding photography for, but this time they did all the work for us, but more in a moment…

Lindsey (London) and Kyle Harris got married on October the 20th at the Cross Creek Country Ranch in Dover. This location is really beautiful and suited Lindsey and Kyle perfectly! I’m not a writer, just a photographer, blogs are seriously procrastinated tasks that I must eventually tackle. All I want to say is, we had a blast at this wedding! Everyone and everything was just perfect. That is a huge testament to Lindsey and Kyle, who are two really nice young people, surrounded by wonderful family and friends. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Here is a list of their vendors, all really great to work with. But before you go, we asked Lindsey and Kyle for a little quote we might put up on the blog. We got so much more! Here is what they had to say about us…

“When Kyle and I first met Charlene and Stan we both agreed, right away, there was no need to keep looking. During our engagement photo shoot we really got to know them and found out just how fun and quirky they are. Charlene doesn’t care what she has to do to get the perfect shot… whether it be laying in the dirt or standing upside down- she is going to make it happen! And, Stan has that eye, that knack, of knowing just where we need to be! The day of the wedding was perfect… Charlene and Stan proved that it doesn’t matter just how large a wedding party is, even one of 26! They portrayed exquisite professionalism and organization while making sure everyone had their picture taken. Truly blessed to have these photographs that we can cherish for years to come.”

Beautiful Orlando Wedding Photography at the Rosen Center

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Matthew and Philander Mitchell! We had a blast shooting their wedding on October 26th at the Rosen Center on International Drive. Matthew grew up in the same neighborhood as Stan, Lake Conway East, yet it took his Tampa bride to find us via The Knot. Funny how things work out. Now, the newlyweds have relocated to Atlanta and are hopefully taking advantage of this perfect snuggling weather! Many thanks to Shanae Hall, owner of Party Life Productions, for all of her help that day.

Jenna & Garrison’s romantic Orlando wedding

October 6th was an amazing day for Jenna Marra and Garrison Muller for many reasons, but mainly because it was the day they vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Jenna walked down the aisle at Sanlando United Methodist Church in a stunning ivory beaded mermaid dress by Lazaro.

The celebrations continued on at the Sheraton North under the talented wing of Master DJ Mr. Darrin Shifrel of DJ Fun Factory. The Photo Booth (by Scott Trippler at Scotttripler.com) was lots of fun for guests young and old, and everything very well managed and overseen by the Sheraton’s Jana McGreal. Congratulations Jenna and Garrison!!

Kathleen & Craig’s wedding at the Waldorf Astoria

Congratulations go out to Kathleen (Wilson) and Craig Dunn whose Orlando wedding we had the privilege of photographing this past September. We feel like family now as we have also photographed sister Jennifer’s wedding to Matt Raspallo a few years back.

Pictures started at the house where Katleen’s hair was done by Monica Blount at Vamp Studio, and her makeup by MariamMakeupdiva@aol.com. Kathleen’s elegant dress came from Solutions Bridal in the Millenia Mall, and her fragrant flowers from Lana Pelham Faulkner. What a genuinely nice couple!

Their students at Windermere Preparatory School are very fortunate. The ceremony took place at St. Charles in College Park and the reception at the fabulous Waldorf Astoria. There is something to be said for a proficient helpful and capable staff and that is exactly what we encountered at the Waldorf Astoria where we had the pleasure of working with Jane McLean. She and her staff were very attentive and on point with everything to do with Kathleen and Craig’s reception! All of which was captured by the charming duo of ProOneVideo, Mark and Lisa LeGrand.

Thank you to all the wonderful vendors we had the pleasure of working with that day and congratulations again to Kathleen and Craig!

Lara & Brian’s Orlando wedding at Maison et Jardin

Congratulations to Lara and Brian Kader whose Orlando wedding we photographed on September 8th. The bride got dressed at the Lakeshore Reserve located on the property with the Ritz and J.W Marriott. The ceremony was at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in College Park, and the reception at Maison et Jardin in Altamonte Springs.

Both Lara and Brian are ice skating instructors at the RDV Sportsplex located in Maitland, check out the picture with their ice skates — very cute! Lara, originally from Brazil, incorporated much of her Brazilian heritage in her Orlando wedding, from delicious deserts to an an amazing Samba band – a successful surprise for her guests ! Great couple, great wedding, who will no doubt celebrate a great life together!

Tammy and Will’s North Carolina wedding!

Many couples travel to Florida for their destination weddings, but we are often asked to travel out of Florida. Just a few weeks ago we traveled to a gorgeous spot in North Carolina for Tammy and Will F.’s wedding. The Mill Pond, at Bear Lake Reserve, was the setting for their outdoor wedding.

The guests were seated around the pond, nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. It was a quiet, peaceful, refreshingly cool, and an amazingly serene location. I loved the sign that greeted their guests, it said: ‘As two families are becoming one, we ask that you choose a seat, and not a side!’ So sweet! And the word “sweet” describes Tammy perfectly; a sweet, soulful, country girl in her cowboy boots!

Tammy got dressed in a log cabin, and their ceremony took place on a wooden bridge, over a bubbling creek. The ceremony was quite touching; a Christian ceremony was very meaningful to the couple. It was emotional and lovely to witness. After a short drive in their convertible, they arrived at the reception site, Sundrops, also at the Bear Lake Reserve . We witnessed some entertaining reception games ––hysterical to watch––and new to us. There was an Elvis impersonator who made an appearance (again, something we’d never seen) and he was surprisingly VERY good! As the reception heated up, so did the afternoon, and the Groom was promptly tossed into the pool by his groomsmen, who could not resist the temptation to cool down, and ended up in the pool themselves. We had a GREAT time, and if anyone ever needs a cabin in the Smokey Mountains, near Cherokee and Bryson City,  in North Carolina, check out this site: http://www.vrbo.com/44019. Make a reservation, and tell Jillian that Charlene and Stan sent you, you won’t regret it, it’s a gorgeous luxury cabin!

As for Tammy and Will, congratulations! Have a wonderful life together, come visit us in Florida, and hopefully we’ll see y’all again REAL soon 🙂

Jessica and Kelvin’s stunning wedding at Paradise Cove Orlando

Jessica and Kelvin were married this March 15th at the very beautiful Paradise Cove. The newlyweds dated all through high school and college, and choose to get married near their 10th anniversary. Kelvin is an A1C in the U.S Air Force and his new bride has joined him where he is stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. They are celebrating the start of their new lives together, with their smiley faced 20 month old daughter, Aliyah. She is soooooo cute!

Jessica’s gorgeously flattering dress came from Meredith’s Bridal in Melbourne. Her fragrant flowers came from Carousel Florist in Rockledge. Her cake was from Party Flavors here in Orlando and lastly, the musical talent of Soundwave Entertainment provided her with lots of great music and set the mood for the evening.

A personal note here, my bride has thanked me several times for her pictures.

She realized how “pretty” everything was that day , through the pictures. To her, and to most if not all brides, the day is a blur, and most of it missed. As sad as that is, it’s the norm because so much is happening so very quickly. It was nice of her to thank us, and tell us just how important those pictures are to her and Kelvin. It’s nice to be appreciated and to be told so! Through the images we shot, they see their day from an entirely new and different perspective. Through our images, she can relive the day, over and over, in slow motion.

Jessica told us that the more she looks at the pictures the more she falls in love with them. Words to the wise, do not neglect the importance of picking an experienced, good photographer. The images we capture for our couples are all they have when it’s all said and done. Call us if you are interested in capturing the wedding of your dreams!

Scott & Mary Beth’s beautiful wedding

Scott and Mary Beth’s relationship has been an uphill battle since the beginning.

A few days before their first date, Scott committed to serving with the United States Army. They dated for the four months prior to him leaving for boot camp in Oklahoma. After that, their only correspondence was through letters, as he wasn’t even allowed to use a phone during this time, let alone come home for a visit. Mary Beth is a middle school teacher for OCPS, and Scott is now stationed in Ft.Lewis, Washington, about 3.000 miles away. He is a Specialist with the C Co 702d BSB 4th Brigade 2nd Infantry Division.

During Scott’s first Christmas in Washington, he proposed to Mary Beth with a hand crafted ring he designed with the help of Plantation Jewelers in Winter Garden. Wanting a ring that would be special and unique, for his bride-to-be, Scott worked diligently with the jeweler through emails and phone calls. Those of you who have seen the ring, know the results were superb!

Mary Beth found her dress, perfect in both simplicity and elegance, at Dillards Department Store. Dresses for the bridesmaids and flower girls came from David’s Bridal in Altamonte Springs. The beautiful flower bouquets and table arrangements were designed by Jonathan’s Flowers of Winter Park. Actually, Jonathan is the person who suggested that we consider using S&S Photography for our pictures. As I perused their website, I was instantly “hooked” with the gorgeous and creative photos that Charlene and Stan had taken at other events. At our very first meeting, I was extremely impressed by Charlene’s professionalism and charming personality. Also, she and Stan were most accommodating with our sensitive situation, due to the possibility of Scott being deployed.

The day of the wedding began and continued with cloudy and rainy skies. Needless to say, we had to “change horses in midstream” and move an outdoor wedding to an inside location. Working to make sure things ran smoothly, these photographers took all this in stride, so there was no added stress on bride and groom. Charlene and Stan, through their unique and innovative photography, have helped to make incredible wedding memories for us for years to come.
