Jessica and Kelvin’s stunning wedding at Paradise Cove Orlando

Jessica and Kelvin were married this March 15th at the very beautiful Paradise Cove. The newlyweds dated all through high school and college, and choose to get married near their 10th anniversary. Kelvin is an A1C in the U.S Air Force and his new bride has joined him where he is stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. They are celebrating the start of their new lives together, with their smiley faced 20 month old daughter, Aliyah. She is soooooo cute!

Jessica’s gorgeously flattering dress came from Meredith’s Bridal in Melbourne. Her fragrant flowers came from Carousel Florist in Rockledge. Her cake was from Party Flavors here in Orlando and lastly, the musical talent of Soundwave Entertainment provided her with lots of great music and set the mood for the evening.

A personal note here, my bride has thanked me several times for her pictures.

She realized how “pretty” everything was that day , through the pictures. To her, and to most if not all brides, the day is a blur, and most of it missed. As sad as that is, it’s the norm because so much is happening so very quickly. It was nice of her to thank us, and tell us just how important those pictures are to her and Kelvin. It’s nice to be appreciated and to be told so! Through the images we shot, they see their day from an entirely new and different perspective. Through our images, she can relive the day, over and over, in slow motion.

Jessica told us that the more she looks at the pictures the more she falls in love with them. Words to the wise, do not neglect the importance of picking an experienced, good photographer. The images we capture for our couples are all they have when it’s all said and done. Call us if you are interested in capturing the wedding of your dreams!

Scott & Mary Beth’s beautiful wedding

Scott and Mary Beth’s relationship has been an uphill battle since the beginning.

A few days before their first date, Scott committed to serving with the United States Army. They dated for the four months prior to him leaving for boot camp in Oklahoma. After that, their only correspondence was through letters, as he wasn’t even allowed to use a phone during this time, let alone come home for a visit. Mary Beth is a middle school teacher for OCPS, and Scott is now stationed in Ft.Lewis, Washington, about 3.000 miles away. He is a Specialist with the C Co 702d BSB 4th Brigade 2nd Infantry Division.

During Scott’s first Christmas in Washington, he proposed to Mary Beth with a hand crafted ring he designed with the help of Plantation Jewelers in Winter Garden. Wanting a ring that would be special and unique, for his bride-to-be, Scott worked diligently with the jeweler through emails and phone calls. Those of you who have seen the ring, know the results were superb!

Mary Beth found her dress, perfect in both simplicity and elegance, at Dillards Department Store. Dresses for the bridesmaids and flower girls came from David’s Bridal in Altamonte Springs. The beautiful flower bouquets and table arrangements were designed by Jonathan’s Flowers of Winter Park. Actually, Jonathan is the person who suggested that we consider using S&S Photography for our pictures. As I perused their website, I was instantly “hooked” with the gorgeous and creative photos that Charlene and Stan had taken at other events. At our very first meeting, I was extremely impressed by Charlene’s professionalism and charming personality. Also, she and Stan were most accommodating with our sensitive situation, due to the possibility of Scott being deployed.

The day of the wedding began and continued with cloudy and rainy skies. Needless to say, we had to “change horses in midstream” and move an outdoor wedding to an inside location. Working to make sure things ran smoothly, these photographers took all this in stride, so there was no added stress on bride and groom. Charlene and Stan, through their unique and innovative photography, have helped to make incredible wedding memories for us for years to come.

Cyndi & Junior’s wedding at Addison Estate in Boca

Cyndi and Junior choose to get married in the shade of the majestic Banyan trees covering the courtyard of the historical Addison Estate in Boca Raton. Built in 1926 by the renowned Addison Mizner, the Addison is a grand Old World Estate whose elegance and charm make it the perfect venue for weddings. If interested, contact Helene @ helene.parsons@theaddison.com

Cyndi was just stunning in her white corset dress! A uniquely beautiful dress with black flower accents in the bodice and skirt of the dress, which she found at Zola Keller. Junior beamed every time he looked at his high school sweetheart, which was so nice to see. Congrats to you both and thanks for bringing S & S Photography down to Boca to experience The Addison. We loved it!

Matt & Rebecca’s beautiful Disney wedding

Gorgeous is gorgeous and that is exactly how Rebecca looked in her blush ballgown by Katerina Bocci, which she purchased at The Collection in Winter Park. A dress like that deserved a stunning location, which is exactly what Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and the Grand Floridian are, just stunning. Nothing out of place, not a flower our of bloom, not a piece of trash on the ground, and everything perfectly timed. Can you imagine, a photographers dream….. a beautiful bride , in a gorgeous dress, with a handsome groom, at a stunning location!

The love this couple has for each other is obvious, you could just see it in their eyes. They are so sweet. We had a great group to work with, and thank you to all who helped, from the Disney Team to the Maid of Honor, a past bride of ours (Katie and Park), to Laura with Disney Floral.

A fun time was had by all with the fabulous Buzzcatz band performing snappy tunes that had the guests on the dance floor all night long! Congratulations Matt and Rebecca! We wish you a long and happy life together!

Casa Feliz Wedding

One of the weddings wehad the honor of covering as the 2011 year came to a close was that of Jenn and Kevin, at Winter Parks Casa Feliz, one of Orlando’s Premier Wedding reception sites. Jenn was a spunky, smart and beautiful bride, sure to ace her law school exams! Wisely, she and Kevin took the advice of recently married friends and family, who labored and researched, diligently interviewing top class Orlando wedding vendors, and that’s how, Kahlil and Andrea, they found us.

The best, most reassuring way to choose your vendors, is definitely from referrals! Take the advice of those in the know…can I scream that loudly enough?!? Use their first hand knowledge and experience to avoid wedding day disasters. If you want to choose a vendor based on price, forget it, there is bound to be a problem! “Cheap thing no good China man say!!” is an old expression my Dad used regularly, for a reason, as his many years taught him, the expression was true.

Congrats Kevin and Jenn, we love you guys!!

A gorgeous Bella Collina wedding

Heather and Todd, both employees at Lockheed Martin, were married at the gorgeous Bella Collina in Montverde, Florida, just east of Clermont. Working with a stunning couple makes our job a little easier than normal, but working with a couple that actually cared about US, wow, that was an unexpected change.

Their love for life and each other penetrated every aspect of their wedding day, and now shines through the
eyes of their little one year old son Jayden, who we had the pleasure of meeting and photographing just recently.

Thanks, Heather and Todd!

Barbara & Manny… such a beautiful couple!

Oh my gosh! There are no words to express this couple’s zest for life and love and especially dancing! Manny and Barbara both were tragically widowed, yet managed to fine love again, in a big way!

They are perfectly suited to each other, neither one can contain their love of life, and family and friends! They exude life, really, you should have seen them cheerleading at the Halloween Party we attended! Here are some pictures we had the honor of taking at their wedding!

Wilson Wedding was a blast!

Stephanie and Wilson were a wonderful, energetic, gorgeous couple to work with! Their wedding in Clearwater gave us the opportunity to shoot on the west coast as the sun was setting. Needless to say the equation goes as follows….

Gorgeous couple, gorgeous location, gorgeous pictures! A wedding day is full of emotions, nerves, adrenaline, and it’s very important to remember to hydrate and eat! Poor Stephanie had a dizzy spell at the alter, scaring us all as her request for water was quickly handled, and a energy bar scarfed down in the back quickly after the ceremony. She pulled it together without a complaint, and the show went on! We’ve built a great relationship with Wilson’s Mom, whose wedding to his step dad, Manny we also shot at Casa Feliz here in Orlando.

The best part of all of this is the continued relationship we have with both of these couples, we were invited to their annual Halloween Party!! How many photographers do you know that get invited to private events hosted by their couples? We went and we had a blast!
